buggy brake

The new brake unit was quite easy to fit, however he initial design of the unit is poor.
When our cable broke, the brakes lock on. It was really difficult getting the baby, and buggy back to our vehicle

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had difficulty getting your pram and baby back to your car. If this happens again, you can use the wheel release button to pull the axle out slightly, disengaging the brake and making it easier to push the pram. Please note, this should only be done when your child is not in the pram, as it wouldn’t be safe.

Leicht zu installieren.
Es ist aber nur eine Ersatzschraube dabei. Das war bei uns kein Problem. Aber daher bitte beim Ausbau aufpassen, dass man die Schrauben nicht beschädigt…

Not particularly environmentally friendly system

The kit works just fine.

However, my issue is with the design.
It uses a very simple brake cable system akin to that on a bike, but it does not have interchangeable cables which would make it very easy to repair at home - instead one needs to purchase a whole new brake system, with all the old kit having to go into land fill.

It would be worth the design team looking at this part to make it serviceable, happy to help with the design of this if they get in touch.

Every other part of the buggy is well considered, it is just the brake part that needs attention to make it more environmentally friendly and less wasteful.

Works a treat

We have had our Urban Jungle for over 5 years with no issues... we have a 5 year old, 2 year old and 4 month old... the brake went after obviously a lot of use. I assumed we'd need to buy another pram to match all our accessories.. Then found this part. Worked exactly and as easily as described. We now have a working pram that will see out all our children!

So easy

Ridiculously easy to fit, came in 2 days despite saying back in stock in 2-3 weeks, safe to say I'm pleased.
